Oculus VR

WHAT IS Oculus VR?

Oculus VR is an app that is used with a Virtual Reality headset to simulate a realistic 3-D depiction of a different setting or environment than the person is currently experiencing. Someone using the VR headset to see this simulation can interact with the new environment in a realistic way, as if they are actually there.

EXAMPLES

1) This tool can be used to prepare clients for travel training, by allowing them to experience through VR the experience of getting a train for example and being in the train station etc.

2) This tool can also be used to simualte the environment of a particualr job role, for example a barista. A client can then virtually prepare a coffee or other hot drink and have an idea of what the real-life experience may be like.

"We use VR headsets in our organisation to support clients to travel to new places. For example, last summer we went to a conference in Belfast and were able to upload images of the venue to the VR headset so one of our employees, who is autistic, could "walk around" the venue before the event and feel comfortable that he knew where he was going on the day. Plan It Plus

WHAT IS Plan it plus?

Plan It Plus is a career matching tool which suggests different career sectors that match your interests and existing skills. It involves answering 80 questions as part of a quiz that determines what is most interesting to you and what jobs match your individual skills and qualities. For a lot of participants it isn;t easy to know where to begin when thinking of moving into employment and this tool aims to make those early decisions around jobs as easy as possible. It’s easy to use and should only take 15-20 minutes to complete.
When you’ve finished you can save your CareerMatch report to your Portfolio. You can also print it out, and do it again if your interests change. It will save all f your answers, so when you back into the CareerMatch page, your orginial answers will be highlighted.

1) In our organisation we use this tool when we are moving to look at vocational activity with clients to give a basis of the kinds of jobs we should be looking at exploring further to determine the right area of employment for each indiviudal client.

A user-friendly communication tool, similar to a Facebook account. This can be used for internal communications with frontline staff and with clients and employers. There is the potential to build a network between employers, staff and clients.

Keep in touch with clients who are in work and develop a peer support network for both clients and employers.

WHAT IS ICONI?

The ICONI CRM system is designed specifically for supported employment projects. It is an off the shelf product that can be customised to each individual organisation, including their logos and branding.
It is split in to 5 stages of an employability “pipeline”, from registration to barrier removal, then vocational acitvity etc. It is a customer record management system (CRM) that allows you to capture data and monitor the progress of clients.
It tracks clients progress and records outcomes which will be required for funders.
